Salen Bay is a very attractive and unspoilt bay on Loch Sunart on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. The bay is very sheltered in all but South-South-Easterlies.

The jetty was constructed around 1820 under the supervision of Thomas Telford. The maximum depth alongside the jetty is 4m at Mean High Water Springs. Tidal times and heights are the same as Oban. We offer visitors moorings and boat launching facilities with many more services planned in the future.

We have 4 Commercial Swinging Moorings for visiting Pleasure Craft up to 20 metres with a maximum weight of 15 tons. These are inspected annually. Our moorings are red buoys and they now have new pick ups which are orange and both are marked ‘Jetty’.

Marine Red Diesel is also available at competitive prices.

We have a slipway which is all tides and will handle any size of boat. There is normally a 4-wheel drive available if you don’t want to get your wheels wet! Please ring before, if you need assistance, to ensure that Mark is around and not on his annual trip to the big city (Oban!).
